Russian combined Airborne & Amphibious Assault...

All photos via English Russia.

I've said it before and will say it again.  The USMC and US Army are missing an opportunity to provide so much deterrence to any aggressive action by China in the Pacific that its mind blowing.  Instead of pushing the dynamic battlefield multiplier of conducting simultaneous Airborne and Amphibious Assault operations on the Battalion/Brigade level or higher (meaning the Marine Expeditionary Unit and the 82nd's Division Ready Brigade), both services are out trying to re-invent the wheel of the Rapid Deployment Forces of the 1980's.

    1. yes it is! notice the look of satisfaction on her face? notice how he's struggling under the load? if it was another guy and unless the guy was injured he would have told him to fuck off but a chick? all it took is a flirtatious smile, the indication that sex might happen and he's a pack animal for hire. the sad reality of feminism today. when it advantages the female its perfect, when it requires a woman to get her hands dirty then its tilted toward men.

    2. New secret weapon for the Russians: An entire battalion of women paratroopers descending right into the defenders' laps, begging to be taken prisoner and interrogated intensely.

and while the defenders are drooling over their good fortune, Spetnaz comes up and zaps them.

    3. She's a cute one, I could unfortunately probably see 20 year old me following her around like a heavily laden puppy too! Did you know helping them is apparently as much sexual harassment as giving hem shit about not pulling their own weight? Dames is grief

    4. cute in the face but the body might be a bear so i'll have to see her without the body armor before i offer to carry her shit around....of course i haven't been in the field for 30 days or on deployment for 6 months so who knows?

dames is grief but before you had people trying to legislate bullshit, them using their sexuality for gifts or favors was generally harmless fun.

now? career ender. my advice? stay the fuck away from WM's.

    1. yeah, i thought that was telling. i don't know if they take anti-air for ground forces more seriously than we do but consider this. what is missing in the Stryker family of vehicles?

      a dedicated anti-air variant!

    3. Russians like Soviets before them take anti-air and ant-armor very seriously and these are two fields where they do have world beaters .US never put much emphasis on those two fields always relying on Airpower but European NATO members much like Russians don't take air support for granted as in full scale peer war at least one if not both sides would lose an effective AF well before fighting stops.

  3. More beached landing ships. If they were Western ships they would be off for a an expensive dry docking and hull surveying after that evolution. It seems the Ruskies beach them with abandon with little trouble or care. I wonder how much of a beach survey is undertaken before these beachings? Very little I should imagine just a casual glance by a well practised eye.

    1. Like every beach landing since WWII they send in diver recon teams to check the beach that is SOP

    2. i'm not so sure thats true anymore. even the Panamanians were throwing grenades in the water before the SEALs assaulted the airport.

these days i could see either remote controlled underwater vehicles, or even some type of airborne device doing most of the beach survey work.

  4. Speaking of the Ruskies, I've been thinking alot about the Ukraine situation recently and here's what I think our response to a Russian invasion of eastern Ukraine should be (should it happen of course):

If Russia invades Ukraine, we bomb Syria. Fuck with our friends, then we'll fuck with yours. There's pretty compelling open source evidence tgat the Regime used chlorine against the opposition recently, so we could use that as "justification". We could probably get the French in on it too, since they were screaming to go in last year and practically dragged us into Libya. The irony is that since Syria has been destroying (theoretically) the bulk of it's CW an air raid targeting the rmainder of their chemical assets would have a much higher chance of success. If anyone in the administration really knew how to plqy hardball with the Russians then someone important should be threatening this exact scenario on the nightly news in order to deter further Russian aggresion.

    2. Who would you want to win in Syria ? Assad is a murderous a-hole but i am not certain that at the moment Assad is the worst of the players involved. These dictators a re bad but i always prefer them over religous nutjobs playing around with both nuclear and chemical weapons.

    3. The response of Russia in that case would be... let me quote: And none fuck was given.

Russians care only for themselves, if they have the business in that they will throw Assad in to the mount of hell fire. They really don't have friends on the world or rather don't want them. Only temporary business partners and vassals.

  6. I'll bet everyone of those Russian troopers has their sexual assault awareness training, their equity training, their pick-your-nose-because we don't want to train for our real mission training...... all up to date.
